If you haven't figured it out yet, Tuck is where I want to be in 2007. Hopefully, the other programs I am applying to won't take that personally, nor should they; I am not applying to any program that I would not be thrilled to be a part of. So, for as much time as I have spent pouring over Tuck's website, I'm trying to figure out how I missed the Tuck Connections program. I've been looking for a way to tactfully contact a Tuck student or alum, and it was right in front of me the whole time. There is not a whole lot of Tuck representation here in Wisconsin, so I wasn't quite sure how to get in contact with a Tuck student or alum. I did send out an email this morning to some unlucky Tuck student who I found through the Tuck Armed Forces Alumni Association, so I hope I haven't overstepped. From everything I've heard about Tuck students' willingness, even eagerness, to talk about their school I am hopeful of a positive response, yet I understand how time consuming the program can be so I will not be upset if he is unable to respond to an "out of the blue" email like that.
I am quite happy to have finally noticed Tuck Connections. I signed up immediately and am looking forward to having a contact "on the inside".
It is this kind of systemic willingness, even desire, to connect on an individual basis that makes Tuck so appealing to me.
