Perhaps someone out there can explain this me:
"Unfortunately, we cannot accept scanned requests. Please either mail or
fax us your request"
This was simply a transcript request, but the transcript office is in Heidelberg, Germany, so I thought I'd save a few bucks and a trip to Staples by scanning the request and emailing it instead of Faxing it. I was half expecting the response I received, but thought it was worth a shot. I just signed up for eFax and "faxed" the document I had already scanned in. In the end, they'll have a worse copy of the document and I'm out some $$$. I figured that won't be the last document I have to Fax during this admissions process, so having an eFax account is probably worth the cost for the convenience over the next few months.
I really have no idea why any place could not accept a scanned and emailed document in lieu of a Fax, so if anyone out there knows of a valid reason, I'd love to hear it.
All this for one single night class I took for kicks...

On the bright side, at least it won't be hard for me to convince folks in Hanover, Ithaca, or New Haven that I can adapt to the weather there...
